StartCode Inc. ("we" or "our") is committed to respecting the privacy of users and protecting personal information in operating "DeskTech Learn" (the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, the purposes for which it is used, and how it is managed.

We may collect the following types of information when you use the Service.

  • Access logs (IP address, browser information, referring URL, access date/time, etc.): automatically collected via Google Analytics
  • Cookie data: used for analytics via Google Analytics and ad delivery via Google AdSense
  • Account information: when you sign in with your Google or Apple account, we collect your email address and a user identifier issued by the authentication provider

3. Purposes of Collection and Use

Collected information is used for the following purposes.

  • Providing, operating, and improving the Service
  • Analyzing service usage (Google Analytics)
  • Delivering relevant advertisements (Google AdSense)
  • Authenticating and managing your account
  • Managing purchases of paid content and contacting you about your purchases (receipts, important notices, etc.)
  • Preventing unauthorized use and ensuring security

4. Use of Cookies

The Service uses cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

  • Minimum necessary disclosure to service providers (e.g., cloud service providers that host our authentication platform, and Google, which provides analytics and advertising)
  • Disclosure for payment processing (when you purchase a paid plan, we provide Stripe, our payment platform, with your email address and other information necessary for payment)

6. Data Storage and Security

The tools provided by the Service (SQL Editor, Python Editor, etc.) run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. Data processed by these tools is not sent to our servers and remains local to your browser.

The email address used for sign-in is stored only in a dedicated external authentication platform and is never stored in databases or logs operated by us. Learning history and similar data are managed under a random identifier that cannot directly identify you. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page in My Page; doing so erases the learning history and other information associated with your account.

Payment information for paid plans (such as your payment history) is managed by Stripe, our payment platform, in accordance with Stripe's privacy policy. For sales to customers outside Japan, Link, LLC (Stripe) acts as the seller; a Link account may be created at the time of purchase, and receipts and other payment-related emails are sent by Link (Stripe).

7. Links to External Services

The Service may contain links to external services. Please review the privacy policies of those services directly. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external services.

8. Minors

If you are under 18 years of age, please use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as necessary. Any changes will take effect when posted on this page. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service.
