Article 1 (Application)
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set forth the conditions for use of the web service "DeskTech Learn" (the "Service") provided by StartCode Inc. ("we" or "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms.
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
The Service is a web application designed to support learning. It provides tools such as a SQL Editor, Python Editor, Linux Terminal, Calculator, and Mermaid Viewer, as well as educational content.
The tools provided by the Service are designed to run in the browser (via WebAssembly) wherever possible, and user data is not transmitted to our servers.
We may introduce authentication features and paid plans in the future. Paid plans will be subject to separate pricing terms.
Article 3 (User Registration)
The core features of the Service are currently available without user registration.
If you wish to use paid features in the future, you will be required to register in accordance with the procedures we establish. We may refuse registration if any of the following applies.
- False information was provided during registration
- The applicant has previously violated these Terms
- We otherwise determine that registration is inappropriate
Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following conduct when using the Service.
- Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals
- Conduct related to criminal activity
- Conduct that infringes the rights or interests of us, other users, or third parties
- Placing excessive load on our servers or network
- Interfering with the operation of the Service
- Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
- Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse-engineering the Service
- Reproducing, reprinting, or redistributing the content of the Service without authorization
- Any other conduct we deem inappropriate
Article 5 (Intellectual Property)
All copyrights in the text, images, code, educational content, and other materials on the Service belong to us or to third parties who hold the appropriate rights.
Rights to any code or data created by users through the tools of the Service belong to the respective users.
Article 6 (Advertisements)
The Service may display advertisements using third-party ad delivery services including Google AdSense. Cookies may be used for ad delivery. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
We shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users in connection with the Service, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
The content of the Service is provided as reference information for educational purposes and does not guarantee accuracy or completeness.
The Service may be modified, suspended, or terminated without prior notice. We shall not be liable for any damages caused by such changes.
Because the tools run in the browser, behavior may vary depending on the type and version of browser used.
Article 8 (Changes and Termination of the Service)
We may change the content of or discontinue the Service without prior notice to users.
We shall not be liable for any damages caused to users as a result of changes to or termination of the Service.
Article 9 (Changes to These Terms)
We may revise these Terms at any time without prior notice when we deem it necessary. Revised Terms take effect upon being posted on the Service, and the revised Terms will apply to all subsequent use.
Article 10 (Use of Open Source Software)
Some tools provided by the Service use the following open source software.

- Linux kernel image: GNU General Public License v2 (GPL-2.0). Used as the OS environment for the Linux Terminal feature.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
In the event of any dispute arising in connection with the Service, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
